Job summary

Salt City Trucking in Waterbury, CT is seeking a CDL‑A Local Shuttle Driver to earn about $70,000 per year with a $5,000 signing bonus. You’ll shuttle frozen grocery loads between Westfield, MA and Milford/West Haven, CT with no‑touch freight and automatic reefer equipment.

Home daily, Monday–Friday with occasional 6th‑day holiday work; typical volume 5–10 shuttles/day, 2–3 stops per trailer. No NYC deliveries; slip‑seat operation and uniforms provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 6 months of truck driving experience.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to operate safely and legally at all times.
• DOT Medical card is required.
• Ability to complete pre-trip inspections and inspect tractor and trailer tires.
• Willingness to assist with supermarket deliveries, intermodal work, or other dedicated accounts as needed.
• No riders or pets allowed.

Responsibilities

• Operate shuttle freight between Westfield, MA and Milford/West Haven, CT with no-touch loads.
• Maintain average 5–10 shuttles per day; 3 shuttles minimum.
• Handle occasional trailer moves or local account support.
• No deliveries in New York City.
