Job summary

Salt City Trucking seeks a CDL-A Local Shuttle Driver for a home-daily route shuttling frozen grocery loads between Massachusetts and Connecticut relay yards. Earn an average $70,000/year with a $5,000 hiring bonus, performing drop-and-hook, no-touch work with 5–10 shuttles daily.

Shifts Mon–Fri with start around 3:00–4:00 PM; some holiday work may be required. Trucks are automatic; slip-seat operation; uniform account-provided. No NYC deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 6 months of truck driving experience.
• DOT Medical card.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• No SAP Drivers.
• Ability to perform pre-trip inspections and inspect tractor and trailer tires.
• Willingness to assist with supermarket deliveries or other dedicated accounts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle frozen grocery loads in reefer trailers between Westfield, MA and relay yards in Milford or West Haven, CT.
• Drop-and-hook, no-touch shuttle work.
• Complete at least 3 shuttles per day; typical volume 5–10 shuttles daily.
• May include trailer moves, store transfers, local backhauls, or other account support.
