Performance Foodservice is seeking experienced Delivery Drivers to service customers in Auburn, Maine. This role emphasizes driving tractor or straight trucks, adhering to DOT regulations, and delivering food products safely and on time.

You will operate locally with daily routes, maintain compliance, and participate in safety programs while representing the company professionally with customers.

Formación

• 12+ months commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL-A
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements
• Clean MVR for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight

Responsabilidades

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally and timely.
• Functions as a team member and performs duties to best serve the company.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) and DOT inspections; ensures compliance with safety standards.
• Reports safety issues and repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines.
• Reports hazards and secures freight for delivery.
• Loads, delivers and unloads customer orders per schedule.
• Obtains customer signatures and handles cash or checks where required.
• Completes daily hours of service and required paperwork.
• Keeps equipment, loading dock and trailers clean and organized.
• Completes necessary paperwork and shifts end properly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
