Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking caregivers for part-time roles with potential full-time hours, providing in-home non-medical support to local seniors in Hanover, PA and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include companionship, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments, with travel to client homes required.

Requirements include 18+ years old, background check and drug screening, and a valid driver's license. CNA preferred but not required; flexible weekends and overnights available.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old to apply.
• 1 year of professional caregiving experience preferred.
• Passing criminal background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable vehicle required.
• Positive attitude and proven dependability.
• Effective communication with clients, peers, and supervisors.
• CNA license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors at home.
• Issue medication reminders.
• Conduct household errands and provide transportation to doctor’s appointments.
• Personal care and hygiene assistance; bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Provide mobility assistance; assisting with walking and transfers.

This is a part-time position with up to full-time hours available dependingon flexibility, availability, and demand. Our essential care team provides much needed support to local seniors in their homes. Please Note: This role requires traveling to client homes in Hanover, Spring Grove, New Oxford, Abbottstown, PA, and Surrounding Areas
