Job summary

Visiting Angels of Hanover seeks compassionate in-home caregivers to support seniors in their homes across Hanover, Spring Grove, New Oxford, Abbottstown and surrounding areas. Part-time with potential for more hours, this role emphasizes companionship, safety and daily living support.

Ideal candidates bring caregiving experience; a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required. CNA is preferred but not mandatory, and a background check plus drug screening will be completed.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• 1 year caregiving experience preferred
• Background check and drug screening required
• Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle and auto insurance
• CNA preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors at home
• Issue medication reminders
• Run errands and transport clients to appointments
• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Help with meal prep, groceries and light housekeeping
• Assist with mobility and transfers

Position Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and needed companionship to seniors at home
• Issue medication reminders
• Conduct household errands and provide transportation to doctor's appointments
• Personal care and hygiene assistance; including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Help with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Provide mobility assistance; such as assisting with walking and transfers

Job Requirements

• Must be 18+ years to apply
• 1 year of professional caregiving experience preferred
• Passing criminal background check and drug screening
• Valid Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, and reliable vehicle are required
• Positive attitude and proven track record of dependability
• Communicate effectively at all times with clients, peers, and supervisors
• CNA license preferred, but not required
