Senior Helpers Southern Maryland is hiring caregivers to support seniors at home with day, evening, weekend, overnight, and fill-in shifts across Southern Maryland. If you have caregiving experience and a passion for helping others, we want to hear from you.

We consider your availability, experience, and location when matching you with clients. We offer competitive pay, flexible scheduling, overtime opportunities, mileage reimbursement, paid training, and ongoing development.

Formación

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current auto insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment screening and onboarding.

Responsabilidades

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Help with walking, mobility, and transfers.
• Prepare meals.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Assist with errands or transportation when applicable.
• Support clients with their daily routines.
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition.
• Help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

What You'll Do

• Provide companionship and conversation

Who We're Looking For

• Have at least 1 year of caregiving experience
• Genuinely enjoy working with seniors
• Are compassionate, patient, and respectful
• Are dependable and punctual
• Communicate well with clients, families, and our office team
• Are comfortable providing care in a client's home

Have experience with dementia, Parkinson's disease, mobility assistance, transfers, personal care, or other specialized care needs? We'd especially like to hear from you.

Schedule & Hours

• Day shifts
• Evening shifts
• Weekend shifts
• Overnight shifts
• PRN / fill-in opportunities

Hours typically range from 12-40 hours per week, depending on your availability and current client needs.

Weekend and holiday availability can provide access to additional opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience
• Valid driver's license
• Current auto insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Basic Health Screening and Negative TB test
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment screening and onboarding
