Job summary

Senior Helpers Southern Maryland is seeking experienced caregivers to support seniors across our communities. We value reliability, flexibility, and compassionate, one-on-one care. Flexible shifts include day, evening, weekend, overnight, and PRN opportunities.

A minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience is required, with specialized care experience highly valued. You’ll be part of a supportive local office team in Southern Maryland.

• Experience with Parkinson's disease, dementia, mobility assistance, transfers, personal care, or other specialized care needs is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Support mobility, walking, and transfers.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Assist with errands and transportation when applicable.
• Support daily routines and independence.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Provide safe, respectful, and dependable one-on-one care.

What You'll Do

Flexible Scheduling

Opportunities may include:

• Day shifts
• Evening shifts

Hours typically range from 12-40 hours per week, depending on client needs and caregiver availability.

Weekend and holiday availability is a plus.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience
• Valid driver's license
• Current auto insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Negative TB test
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment screening and onboarding
