Job summary

Addus HomeCare, 1675 S State Street, Dover, DE is seeking a scheduler/supervisor for in-home care workers and clients in a geographic area. This role ensures care plans are followed and coverage is available. Supervisory and/or home care experience preferred.

The job offers full-time hours, Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within Arcadia/Addus.

• 2 years of scheduling or health care experience required.
• 1 year office and recruiting experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedules employees as directed by the client's care plan established at intake.
• Processes patient authorizations and communicates with central admissions; updates client records and prepares charts.
• Creates and adjusts work schedules in the system to ensure care plans are followed.
• On-boards and trains new branch Administrative employees.
• Supervises direct service staff and enforces attendance, performance, and conduct policies.
• Assists with the new-hire onboarding and ensures documentation is complete.

Position Summary:

Responsible for scheduling and supervising in-home care workers and clients in a geographic area. Essential Duties:

• Schedules employees as directed by client's care plan established upon intake.
• Processes patient authorizations and communicate with central admissions, enter reauthorizations into client record and ensure chart preparation for all new clients.
• Creates work schedules by entering schedules into the system, manages changes to client schedules due to client request, illness, vacation or leaves of absence. Provides alternate coverage to ensure the client's care plan is followed and client services are not interrupted.
• On-board and train new branch Administrative employees.
• Supervises direct service employees by setting expectations for attendance, performance and conduct by holding employees accountable to the company's policies and guidelines.
• Assists with the new hire process for all new employees and ensures all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Position Requirements & Competencies:

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of scheduling or health care experience required
• 1 year office and recruiting experience required
• Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Scheduling program.
• Must have reliable transportation.
