Job summary

Northwell Health in New York seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver age-appropriate care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with physicians and health-team members, provide leadership, clinical judgment, and coordinate patient care on the unit.

The role requires a NYS RN license, BSN preferred, and ongoing BSN progress within two years. You will participate in discharge planning, charting, and safety, while supporting patients and families with education.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within five years.
• Current NYS RN license required.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, review charts, and explain policies clearly.
• Assess GI, CV, respiratory, renal, neuro status and pain; adjust care plan.
• Document patient health status and care plan.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Coordinate care with physicians and health team members.
• Administer treatments and ensure patient safety throughout care.
• Record and communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
