Job summary

BrightStar Care of Lansing is seeking Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to join our home care team on a part time/per diem basis. We provide care ranging from short client visits to extended shifts up to 12 hours, with a focus on compassionate, individualized service.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in the state for which care is provided
• Minimum one year of documented experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility
• Reliable car and auto insurance
• Clean background and criminal record
• Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations
• Adheres to HIPAA and maintains client confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Care for individuals based on personalized Plan of Care and inform Nursing Director of changes in client conditions
• Counsel client and family through care process and provide regular updates
• Maintain clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
• Participate in agency performance improvement activities and stay informed about nursing and home health care changes

The Home Care Nurses are responsible for ensuring that care is delivered appropriately and the standards of quality are adhered to. We are looking to add enthusiastic members to join our team who are described as “caring, compassionate, and cheerful”. We have everything from short client skilled visits to catastrophic care shifts up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Care for individual based on personalized Plan of Care Informs the Director of Nursing and any other appropriate personnel of changes in the client’s conditions and needs
• Counsel client and family through care process while updating family on a regular basis
• Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
• Participates in agency performance improvement activities and continuously staying informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care

Requirements
