Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients in their homes across the Boston area. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship, all while following care plans and ensuring a safe home environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification or caregiving experience.
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience.
• Previous experience in home care or similar setting is a plus but not necessary; what matters most is kindness and eagerness to make a difference.
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming; support helps clients maintain dignity and comfort.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise or walking.
• Prepare and serve meals so clients have tasty and healthy food.
• Medication reminders are crucial to our client’s health; training provided.
• Provide companionship, engage in fun activities and be the friendly face that makes every day brighter.
• Show enthusiasm for helping others and motivation to provide excellent care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients' homes.
• Occasional transportation of clients to appointments or errands, miles reimbursed.
• Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s close-knit team.
