Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients in their own homes across Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Join a team recognized for outstanding caregiver support and an RN Supervisor in the field.

You will provide daily living assistance, companionship, meal preparation, and transportation as needed, while following care plans and maintaining client dignity.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English is required.
• Experience as a caregiver or in home care is preferred.
• Nursing students seeking patient care exposure are welcome.

Responsabilités

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to support dignity and comfort.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise or walking.
• Prepare and serve meals to ensure healthy nutrition.
• Medication reminders and adherence support.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities to brighten days.
• Show enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and commitment to quality care.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment for clients.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or run errands; mileage is reimbursed.
• Demonstrate dedication to clients and teamwork within the agency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming; your support helps our clients maintain dignity and comfort

• Medication reminders are crucial to our client’s health, we will train you

• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients' homes
• Occasional Transportation of your client to appointments or errands, we reimburse your miles
• Demonstrate dedication to our clients and respect for our agency’s close knit team

Requirements

• Proficiency in English
• Current CNA or HHA certification or caregiving experience
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience
• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but not necessary; what matters most is your kindness and eagerness to make a difference
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature because a warm, empathetic approach is at the heart of what we do
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass background checks because we value trust and integrity in our team
