Job summary

Optum is seeking a Homemaker/Companion to help individuals stay independent at home. You will provide companionship, assist with personal hygiene and light homemaking tasks while delivering compassionate care and building meaningful connections with clients and their families.

Responsibilities include reading, talking, running errands when needed, transporting clients within state guidelines, reporting changes to the Agency Director, and completing cleaning, light meals and laundry.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of experience in home care.
• Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship through reading, talking, listening, and related activities
• Perform errands, transport clients, when necessary, within State guidelines
• Report unusual incidents or changes in client's behavior or home situation to Agency Director
• Perform homemaking services such as cleaning, light meal preparation, laundry, and other light cleaning duties
