Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care in New Jersey is seeking compassionate caregivers (CNA/HHA welcome) to join a supportive team. You will assist clients with daily activities, provide companionship, and help maintain dignity and comfort in clients' homes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification or caregiving experience.
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience.
• Previous home care or similar setting experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and caring nature.
• Ability to follow care plan and provide patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise or walking.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Medication reminders are crucial to client health.
• Provide companionship and engage in activities.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to help others.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or run errands (miles reimbursed).
• Demonstrate dedication to clients and teamwork.
