Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking dedicated Home Care CNAs to join the team across the Twin Cities metro area, including Maplewood, MN. We offer both full-time and part-time roles with flexible scheduling to fit your needs and require at least one year of hands-on personal care experience.

Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, and a compassionate, patient, and caring nature with strong interpersonal skills. Weekend availability is requested.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal prep, light housekeeping, and errands.

• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or needs.
• Coordinate with RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

We offer both full-time and part-time positions available across the Twin Cities metro area, including Maplewood, MN. BrightStar provides flexible scheduling with a variety of shift times and lengths to meet your needs. Reliable transportation and at least one year of experience providing hands-on personal care for clients are required.

• Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and conversation to enhance the lives of our clients.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Provide physical assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings, providing transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, and needs.
• Act as a member of the Care coordination team to communication with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

Requirements:

• A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience providing care to clients in a hands-on environment (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital Setting)
• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with Auto Insurance.
• Negative TB test or Cleared Chest-Xray.
• Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.
