At Avenues Home Care, our caregivers are our front line and most common representatives. As a Home Care Caregiver, you will be caring for the elderly, vulnerable, disabled, and those who cannot care for themselves. You are required to prioritize the client’s needs and perform the following duties with care. Our Nashville office provides caregivers for areas including Nashville, Belle Meade, Green Hills, Franklin, and others.

Home Care Caregiver Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, eating, and continence care as per the client’s plan.
  • Assist with medication, housekeeping, laundry, meal prep, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
  • Perform other household tasks as specified in the care plan.
  • Report daily activities to your supervisor via management systems, logs, calls, emails, or face-to-face communication.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Practice safety and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrate honesty, accountability, and integrity.
  • Provide superior, vigilant, and confidential care.
  • Report concerns, attend meetings, and follow policies including HIPAA compliance.
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Good communication skills, ability to follow instructions, proficiency with management systems.
  • Maintain a work schedule, establish relationships, and keep confidentiality.
  • Must be 18+, preferably with CNA license or caregiving experience, CPR & First Aid certifications, reliable transportation.
Preferred Experience

Experience assisting with ADLs or caring for vulnerable clients.
