Job summary

Care Planning Institute, Inc. is seeking a part-time in-home assessor to evaluate elderly clients in the Upper Peninsula, MI area within a 2-hour drive of Marquette. Pay is $40/hour, including paid travel time. Assessments are conducted in clients' homes and take about 30 minutes. Flexible schedule, weekends optional, with background check and TB test required.

Preference given to RN/LVN/LPN license holders, but not required if applicant has home health experience. Training provided; starts soon.

Job description

We are a home care agency that has been in business since 2007 and in need of a person to perform in-home assessments of elderly clients in Upper Peninsula, MI area (clients located within a 2 hour drive of Marquette, MI). $40/hour.

The assessment consists of talking to the client in person at their home - and asking a few questions about their non-medical care needs (i.e. Bathing, dressing, grooming, light house cleaning, etc). Prefer RN, or LVN/LPN License holders - but not required - if have experience in home health, home care, hosptial, nursing home, assisted living.

The assessments take 30 minutes. Travel time is paid from the person's home and back at $40/hour. Flexible schedule. Can work anytime from 8am to 8pm Monday through Sunday. Weekends only is acceptable. Great part time job for extra money on the side of your regular job. We will perform a background check. Job starts soon.

We just started a contract with a large referral source so there is not a big need right now - but as we get more clients in the program the need will grow. When we have need of an assessment we will reach out and you would need to get the assessment completed within 7 calendar days of getting notified of the new assessment.

Must get a TB (Tuberculosis) skin test if not had one recently. You can go to your local County Health Department and walk in to get a skin TB Test. Just provide your ID and tell them it is for employment. It costs $25. You will return 48-72 hours later to have it checked.
