Job summary

ioaging is seeking Home Care Aides to deliver direct, best-of-class services to aging and disabled adults in homes and community facilities. You will assist with daily living tasks, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping while maintaining safety and dignity.

Required are English proficiency, reliable transportation, and at least 1 year of relevant caregiving experience. Bilingual skills and tech familiarity are a plus for a supportive, inclusive team.

Qualifications

  • English language proficiency is a must.
  • Bilingual language proficiency in Tagalog, Spanish, Chinese or Russian languages is desired.
  • Basic Smartphone and technical skills are advantageous but not mandated.
  • Basic computer skills are highly advantageous but not mandated.

Responsibilities

  • Assistance with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
  • Driving or accompanying clients to shopping, errands or doctor’s appointments.
  • Assistance with transfers, ambulation, or exercise.
  • Meal preparation including special diets and feeding assistance.
  • Light housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, laundry/linen changes and dishes.
  • Medication reminders.
  • Respite/Companionship Engagement.
  • Mobility and transfer assistance.
  • Care for Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's care and Hospice.

Under the direction and supervision of the Staffing and Client Service Managers, Home Care Aides provide direct best of class services to older adults in their homes, hospitals, day centers, skilled nursing facilities and community residential facilities.

Responsibilities may include, however not limited to:
  • Assistance with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming

Service Requirements:
  • Consistent ability to get to and from client assignments (car, public transportation, etc.)
  • Commitment and reliability
  • Able to provide best in class customer service
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
  • Flexibility and solution oriented
  • Continuous communication with administrative team
Requirements:
  • Home Care Services Bureau (PER ID#) registration
  • Livescan/Fingerprinting clearance; clean criminal background
  • Current tuberculosis/ TB clearance (either skin test, Xray or blood test)
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (2 forms of I-9 Compliant IDs; examples: Driver's License, California ID, Social Security Card; US passport)
  • English language proficiency is a must
  • At least 1 year of (non-medical) professional experience caring for elderly or disabled adults and/or any related caregiving experience.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Basic Smartphone and technical skills
  • Bilingual language proficiency in Tagalog, Spanish, Chinese or Russian languages
  • Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) or Home Health Aides (HHA) are highly desirable but not required
  • Basic computer skills are highly advantageous but not mandated
  • Students and/or retirees of Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) and Registered Nurses (RN) backgrounds are also encouraged to apply
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 35lbs or more with proper use of body mechanics - training provided
  • Ability to lift, transfer, push/pull, reach, bend, walk, maneuver, and reposition.
Flexible Hours:
  • Part-Time, Full-Time, Short Shifts, Weekends or Live-In. Services are provided 7 days a week.

Compensation

Range: $ 23.00 - $ 24.00 /hourly
