Job Description
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Create a safe environment for clients with Alzheimers/Dementia or related behaviors by monitoring health and safety.
- Assist with ADLs such as personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, bathing, and dressing.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing to maintain a clean living environment.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Assist with transfers and ambulation to ensure safety and stability.
- Transport clients to appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and outings.
Requirements
- At least 3 months of professional caregiver experience.
- Registration or willingness to register as a California Home Care Aide (HCA).
- Clear a criminal background check (DOJ/FBI).
- Current negative TB test or willingness to complete one.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- At least 18 years old.
- Provide two forms of ID (e.g., drivers license, social security, passport, or birth certificate).
Responsibilities
- Follow clients’ care plan, safety precautions, and procedures.
- Monitor, observe, and report any changes in clients’ condition or health status to a supervisor or appropriate parties immediately.
- Communicate effectively and respond to all communication from the office in a timely manner.
