Job summary

Right at Home Torrance is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide to provide personalized in-home care and companionship to seniors and vulnerable adults in their own homes.

You will assist with daily activities, maintain dignity and comfort, and support clients in health and safety while fostering independence. Must live in the South Bay area and have a valid CA DPSS Home Care Aide registration.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Home Care Aide via CA DPSS.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Comfortable reading, writing, and speaking English.
• A licensed driver with insured transportation.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Must live in the South Bay area!

Responsibilities

• Helping clients move safely within their home.
• Providing light housekeeping (dishes, vacuuming, laundry, etc).
• Preparing nourishing meals and snacks.
• Assisting with dressing, bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Offering medication reminders.
• Accompanying clients to appointments or errands.
• Supporting mobility and range-of-motion exercises.
• Providing engaging companionship - chatting, music, puzzles, and more.
• Specialized dementia care.
