Job summary

Right at Home Torrance is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate in-home care for seniors and vulnerable adults in the South Bay area. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, light housekeeping, meals, and companionship to enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

• Requires good reading, writing and speaking English.
• Must have valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Able to pass a background check and contribute to a safe home-care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities and personal care.
• Help with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, and nutritious snacks.
• Offer companionship through conversation, activities, and reminiscence.
• Support clients with medication reminders as needed.
• Accompany clients to appointments or errands.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Specialized dementia care as needed.

What You'll Do:

As a Home Care Aide, you'll provide personalized assistance with daily activities, helping clients live with dignity and comfort at home. Your tasks may include:

• Helping clients move safely within their home

• Providing light housekeeping (dishes, vacuuming, laundry, etc.)

• Preparing nourishing meals and snacks

• Assisting with dressing, bathing, grooming, and hygiene

• Offering medication reminders

• Accompanying clients to appointments or errands

• Supporting mobility and range-of-motion exercises

• Providing engaging companionship - chatting, music, puzzles, and more

• Specialized dementia care

Who You Are:

• A high school graduate or GED holder

• Comfortable reading, writing, and speaking English

• A licensed driver with insured transportation

• Able to pass a background check

• Must live in the South Bay area!

• Certified as a CNA, and HCA (or willing to obtain)
