Job summary

Right at Home in Sacramento is seeking compassionate Caregivers to support seniors in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, companionship, and non-medical care to help clients stay independent where they live.

Requirements include 18+, English fluency, valid driver's license and auto insurance, and ability to pass a background check. Experience with Dementia, Hospice, Incontinence or transfers (Hoyer, gait, slide board) is a plus. Flexible days and shifts offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform personal care activities of daily living including dressing and grooming.
• Must be 18 years of age and able to read, write, and speak English as needed for the job.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Must be able to pass a full employment background check.
• HCA Registration assistance may be provided at offer of employment.
• TB Skin test (completed within the last 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities of daily living such as dressing and grooming.
• Assists with ambulation and transfers (lift up to 50 lbs).
• Prepares meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompanies clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Performs light housekeeping tasks.
• Remains vigilant with medication reminders.
• Cares for bed-bound clients when needed.
• Uses lifting equipment like gait belts, slide boards, and Hoyer lifts.
• Provides companionship and supportive presence to clients.

A homecare aide provides for the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. A homemaker/companion provide non-medical home care which include: bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminder, companionship, transportation to client's doctor appointment, errands, and light housekeeping and so much more! Our goal is to help our senior clients remain as independent as possible wherever they call home.

We travel to the any of the following areas: Sacramento, West, North and South Sacramento, Natomas, Woodland and Davis

We are hiring care providers who may have the skills and experience with Dementia, Hospice, Incontinence, Transfers-Hoyer, Gait, Slide Board.

The career requires your own vehicle to transport clients, valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance.

Our shift needs are all days of the week from Monday to Sunday: AM/PM and NOC (overnight)

Essential Responsibilities:

Performs personal care activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to): Assist with Dressing/Grooming

Ambulation/Transfers (be able to lift 50 lbs)

Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions

Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments

Performs light housekeeping activities

Medication reminders

Care of bed-bound clients

Use lifting equipment such as Gait Belts, Slide Boards and Hoyer Lifts

Provide Companionship
