Job summary

Interim HealthCare Northern CA, NV, OR is hiring a Home Care Aide/Caregiver in Dunsmuir, Mt. Shasta & Yreka, CA. You will provide personal care to seniors, assist with daily living activities, and support safe, home-based care on a part-time basis with 31 hours available to start.

The role offers a competitive $18.00/hour wage, weekly pay, and opportunities for training and tuition discounts. 1:1 client ratios and a flexible schedule help balance work and life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Clear Background Check & Drug Screen (no THC testing).
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living and light housekeeping.
• Help with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document conditions for supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in activities.

As a Home Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Clear Background Check & Drug Screen *We do not test for THC
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
