Job summary

Nurse Next Door San Mateo is seeking a dedicated Home Care Aide for one‑on‑one in‑home support in Atherton. We offer reliable hours, a flexible schedule, and strong clinical backing to help you grow with your clients.

You’ll provide daily living assistance, support with bathing and mobility, and document care notes for the supervising nurse. Turnover is low, supervision is supportive, and ongoing training is available.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program.
• At least 1 year of paid home‑health, hospice, or facility experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication—you’re comfortable updating digital care logs.
• CPR certification (or willingness to earn within 30 days).
• A genuine desire to foster trust and dignity for every client you serve.

Responsibilities

• Personalized daily living assistance: transfer clients safely, assist bathing/grooming, and support mobility devices.
• Healthy home environment: change linens, light laundry, keep living areas clean and hazard‑free.
• Medication & wellness checks: provide reminders and record vitals or observations.
• Mind‑body engagement: read aloud, reminisce, or guide simple chair exercises to keep clients active.
• Detailed reporting: document care notes and share changes with your RN or Care Supervisor.
