Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education required.
• Michigan teaching certificate with endorsement in special education required, CPI Certification (or ability to obtain).
• At least three years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education instruction to students in home and/or community environments aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians, agency professionals, community members, and school staff.
• Lead education planning for assigned caseload.
• Participate in curricular and instructional planning.
• Participate in behavior intervention planning.
• Maintain complete, accurate and timely documents and records.
• Model VBISD guidelines: Respect, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence.
• Seek ongoing professional learning and accept feedback in a professional way.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education and the Superintendent.
