Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required.
• Ability to work with post-secondary students with a variety of abilities and disabilities.
• Experience with, or willingness to learn, AAC.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others.
• Willingness to adhere to VBISD policies and model VBISD guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with planning and implementation of instructional activities in classroom, community and employment settings.
• Direct support and supervision of students in classroom and community settings.
• Ability to transport students to community and employment settings using ISD vehicle.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and support student activities as needed.
