Strides Therapy & Educational Services in Mechanicsville, MD seeks a compassionate School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide early intervention for infants and toddlers in St. Mary's County, serving in home or community settings.

The role includes assessments, family-centered planning, collaboration with educators and families, and participation in IEP/IFSP meetings; schedule up to 21 hours weekly with seven-hour days; licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• MD State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA (unless CF).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in private practice or outpatient settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based interventions to improve communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and team members to support child development.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans as needed.
• Guide and educate parents and teachers on strategies to promote carryover.
• Maintain accurate records, including session notes and progress reports.
• Stay current with research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
• Participate in IEP/IFSP meetings and school-based professional development.
