Job summary

Frederick County Government seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and intervene for infants and toddlers birth to 5 with speech, language, and developmental delays. You will deliver services through the Frederick County Health Department and collaborate with families to embed therapy into daily life.

The role requires a Master’s in SLP, MD licensure (or eligibility), and CCC-SLP, with about 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology or related field
• Maryland State license to practice Speech-Language Pathology, or ability to obtain MD license before hire date
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the speech-language field

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct therapy sessions using evidence-based practices for infants and toddlers
• Develop joint plans with families to integrate therapy into daily routines
• Monitor progress with ongoing observations and re-evaluations
• Create individualized goals in communication, literacy, and functional skills
• Use augmentative communication tools to support service delivery and caregiver education
• Collaborate with families and teams to ensure continuity of services
