Job summary

Baby Bear Hugs is seeking a compassionate Coordinator / Parenting Educator to support program operations and work directly with families in their homes. This role blends administrative coordination, community outreach, and in-home parenting education.

You will educate parents on child development, help them build effective parenting skills, and coordinate meetings, outreach, and events while maintaining confidential records and communicating with partners.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience with children and families is preferred; minimum 1 year.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to document program activities and maintain records.

Responsibilities

  • Meet families in homes to provide education and connect to resources.
  • Educate parents on child development milestones.
  • Help families develop parenting skills and strategies.
  • Deliver curriculum-based programs in warm, nurturing environments.
  • Maintain confidential records of family interactions and progress.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks to support operations.
  • Communicate with families, staff, and partners using technology and written communication.
  • Educate agencies and the public about Baby Bear Hugs programs.
  • Plan meetings, outreach activities, and fundraising events.
  • Travel locally to meetings, outreach, and events.
