Overview

Job description: We are seeking a dedicated Parenting Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with families and children, providing guidance and support to promote healthy family dynamics.

Duties

• Conduct individual meetings, within client homes, to provide education and connections to community resources to strengthen and empower families.
• Assist parents in developing effective parenting skills and strategies.
• Educate parents on physical and emotional child development.
• Implement curriculum based programs that focus on the importance of raising children in a warm, trusting and caring household.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress made by families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One year of Experience working with children and families, IE: child care provider, parent, daycare worker, preschool educator
• Knowledge of child development and willingness to learn about community resources.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
• Writing and computer skills sufficient to communicate with staff and clients
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation

Up to 20 hours a week.
