Job summary

Amedisys is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide hands-on care in the home of geriatric patients on a full-time basis. The role emphasizes delivering OT services under physician-approved plans, ensuring safety, and maintaining thorough documentation, with 1:1 patient interaction and mileage reimbursement.

Qualified candidates will hold an ACOTE-accredited OT degree, a state license, and NBCOT eligibility or certification, plus CPR.

Qualifications

• Current OT license in the state of assignment.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited OT program.
• Eligible for or completed NBCOT certification.
• One year related OT experience required; mentoring if under one year.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy per physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensure plan addresses identified problems and documents rationale.
• Ensure safety and effectiveness of OT service delivery.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in case.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
