Job summary

Electro-Matic is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to develop and manage a high-potential territory in Southeast Michigan. You will handle the full sales cycle, engage with engineers, and present industrial automation solutions that boost productivity.

This home-based role covers Farmington Hills, Detroit, Ann Arbor, and nearby markets. Candidates must reside within reasonable driving distance, with opportunities to travel and build long-term customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electrical/automation tech; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 3+ years of outside sales in industrial automation.
• Experience with Siemens automation products preferred.
• Strong business acumen and consultative selling.
• Proficient in CRM, MS Office; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand existing customer relationships within the assigned territory.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities.
• Travel throughout the territory to meet with current and prospective customers.
• Prepare pricing proposals, quotes, and sales agreements.
• Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and project tracking.
• Represent Electro-Matic at trade shows and industry events.
