Job summary

Brown County (MN) seeks a dedicated family services professional to assist in preventing child abuse and neglect through home-based support. You will work alongside professional staff to implement case plans and strengthen family self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities include direct and indirect family support, court-related documentation, and collaboration with law enforcement, health, and social services to protect children and promote community resources.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in Minnesota.
• Must successfully complete a background check.
• Must complete and pass pre-employment testing.
• Knowledge of child development, child mental health diagnosis, aggressive behaviors, and impact of child abuse and neglect.
• Ability to plan, assess and make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional staff in prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.
• Work in families' homes to reduce abuse and prevent out‑of‑home placement.
• Coordinate with social workers and community resources.
• Attend meetings and provide documentation for court reports.
