Job summary

Together for Youth in Buffalo, NY seeks a Prevention Family Specialist to preserve the family unit and empower parents with tools to ensure children's safety, well-being and permanency. The role includes in-home counseling, comprehensive treatment planning, and advocacy in the home and community.

You will build relationships with schools and community partners, conduct family assessments, and coordinate services with a flexible schedule and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with at-risk youth and families.
• Flexibility to work day, evening, and call hours; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess family strengths and needs and plan treatment goals.
• Provide in-home counseling and case management services.
• Develop discharge and permanency resources for youth.
