Job summary

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis Inc. is seeking a Home Based Visitor to support families with child development, health and social services, following Head Start standards.

The role involves conducting home visits, delivering home-based services, and advocating for families. Bachelor's degree is preferred, with at least Associates level education and relevant experience; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Associates degree minimum with coursework in child development or health/nutrition.
• Bachelor's degree preferred and 6 credits in infants and toddlers.
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and disability, social services.
• Ability to relate well with staff, children, families and other agencies.
• Three years experience planning for and teaching young children.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits and socializations delivering Head Start services.
• Provide advocacy and crisis intervention per guidelines.
• Coach and model child development, health, and parent engagement services.
• Coordinate with Education Coordinator and families.
