Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Home-Based Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Lackawanna County, PA. Provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes and communities, with an emphasis on safety, independence, and dignity. Various full- and part-time hours available.

Eligible DSPs earn $17.00–$25.00 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus. We offer weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits based on hours worked. Join a compassionate team making a real difference in I/DD services.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance.
• Comfortable supporting individuals with varying personal-care and behavioral-support needs.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Physical ability to assist with lifting or transfers if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes and communities.
• Help clients develop behavioral, social, and vocational skills.
• Assist with recreational and community activities.
• Follow treatment plans and document progress.
• Provide companionship and respite care.
• Submit documentation and payroll on time.
• Participate in ongoing training.
• Assist with personal care needs as required.
• Work independently in home and community settings.
