Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Home-Based Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with I/DD in Lackawanna County, PA and surrounding areas. The role offers $17.00–$25.00 per hour and a $1,000 signing bonus, with full-time or part-time hours and comprehensive benefits based on hours worked.

As a DSP, you’ll provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes and communities to promote safety, independence, and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance.
• Comfortable supporting individuals with various personal-care and behavioral-support needs.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Physical ability to assist with lifting or transfers.

Responsibilities

• Support behavioral, social, and vocational skill development.
• Assist with recreational and community activities.
• Follow treatment plans and document progress.
• Provide companionship and respite care.
• Submit documentation and payroll on time.
• Participate in ongoing training.
• Assist with personal care needs as required.
• Work independently in home and community settings.
