Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Community Rehabilitation Assistant to support adults in their homes, enabling independence with a multidisciplinary team of nurses and therapists. The role includes competency-based training (clinical observations, venepuncture, bladder scanning, ECG) and an enhanced DBS check.

A driving role is essential, with service hours 08:00–20:00, seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Provide care to adults in their own homes and care homes.
• Promote independence and improve quality of life with multidisciplinary team.
• Must have DBS check (costs covered by the Trust).
• Driver is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support adult patients in their own homes and care homes to maintain independence.
• Work with Nurses and Therapists to set goals and regain independence.
• Provide admin support to ensure efficient day-to-day running of the service.
• Communicate effectively and make confident decisions within a multidisciplinary team.
