Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Assistant Practitioner to support the Community Respiratory Service across Colchester and surrounding areas. You will assist with pulmonary rehabilitation sessions, patient assessments, and equipment management, under supervision of registered clinicians.

The role involves delivering class-based and home-based activities, educating patients on inhaler technique and breathlessness management, and helping patients and carers

Qualifications

• Assistant Practitioner role supporting community respiratory services.
• Involvement in pulmonary rehabilitation sessions and patient education.
• Supervision by registered clinicians in a nursing/therapy team.

Responsibilities

• Support the integrated community respiratory team and delivery of care plans.
• Deliver nursing and therapeutic activities to individuals and groups.
• Assist with patient advice, information, and signposting to community resources.
• Support carers and manage equipment for community use.
