Job summary

University of California, Davis invites applications for a research support role with the ADRC, conducting cognitive and independent function assessments in older adults. Most visits occur in participants' homes across the Sacramento and Bay Areas, with data entry responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have research experience, EMR data handling, and strong organization; they must communicate well and work both independently and within a team in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license and driving record per policy.
• Experience in a research setting/environment.
• Experience reviewing medical records for cognitive decline or dementia.
• Experience entering data in electronic medical record keeping systems.
• Experience consenting subjects for research studies.
• Ability to perform standard physical and neurological exams.
• Data management experience.
• Knowledge of research policies, human subjects, and clinical trials.
• Ability to interpret complex policies and guidelines, protocols, and reports.
• Proficient PC skills with Word, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Ability to work independently with a teamwork mindset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle PHI and HIPAA confidential material.
• Strong writing/editing skills desirable.
• Excellent typing skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide research support in specialized areas for ADRC studies.
• Record results and perform data entry for assessments.
• Present findings to a research team as needed.
