Job summary

ViaQuest invites compassionate individuals in the Lakewood area to become a Shared Living Provider. Earn a daily stipend while caring for adults with developmental disabilities from the comfort of your home.

As a provider, you’ll offer direct care, support independence, and help with daily activities. Training including CPR/First Aid is provided, and you can balance this role with other commitments. A spare bedroom and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with car insurance.
• Fewer than 6 points in the last two years on your motor vehicle record.
• Spare bedroom and willingness to share your home.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities; foster independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching, and assisting individuals in all aspects of their daily life.
• Integrating the individual into your everyday life.
• Participating in community outings and appointments through transporting and assisting the individual served.
