Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Behavior Consultant / BCBA for home-based and school-based support in Oyster Bay, NY. The role involves collaborating with administrators, teachers, and families to implement evidence-based behavioral strategies for students with special needs.

The position offers both part-time and full-time options with a competitive hourly rate. Requirements include NYS driver's license, BCBA certification, and a Master’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• BCBA certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience supporting children and families.
• NYS driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized, evidence-based behavioral supports with families and school teams.
• Conduct FBAs and collaborate to identify function of behavior and interventions.
• Design and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans aligned with student goals.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate progress and adjust interventions.
• Provide coaching and feedback to classroom staff for consistent implementation.
• Support IEPs and CSE meetings with behavioral recommendations.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA/FERPA.
