Job summary

MobilityWorks in Laurel, MD is seeking a Home Access Installation Technician to join our hands-on service team. You will install and service stairlifts, vertical lifts, ramps, and ceiling lifts, ensuring safe, high-quality accessibility equipment for customers.

You will test installations, troubleshoot issues, and follow service orders while working largely independently with regular business hours. A valid driver’s license is required and experience with Salesforce is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.
• Experience installing stairlifts, vertical lifts, ramps, ceiling lifts.
• Strong electrical and low-voltage skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Background in garage doors, HVAC, or construction is a plus.
• Proficient computer skills including Salesforce.
• Able to work indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Installing and servicing stairlifts, vertical lifts, ramps, and ceiling lifts.
• Testing installations to ensure quality and safety.
• Troubleshooting equipment issues and performing repairs.
• Following service orders and upholding quality standards.
• Reading blueprints and schematics to guide work.
• Working independently with minimal supervision.
