Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Holter Monitor Scanner for MercyOne Iowa Heart Center to perform Holter testing, analyze heart rhythms, and document findings in the patient record. Day-shift position requiring EKG/arrhythmia training with telemetry monitoring; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• EKG/Arrhythmia training and telemetry monitoring experience preferred but training on the job is available.
• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
• CCI-C RAT exam to be taken within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proficiency with monitor equipment and procedures at MercyOne Iowa Heart Center as needed.
• Screens patient records for appropriate diagnosis and orders for procedures.
• Instructs and educates patients regarding the ordered test and prepares them for the procedure.
• Performs Holter Monitor testing according to established protocols.
• Performs Holter Monitor scanning and provides heart rhythm analysis of ECGs recorded on monitor.
• Documents symptoms, records monitor strips, and routes reports to the responsible physician.
