Job summary

MercyOne Iowa Heart Center in West Des Moines, IA seeks a Full-time Holter Monitor Technician to join our cardiology team. Must live in Iowa and have monitor tech or telemetry experience.

You will maintain monitor equipment, review patient records, and prepare patients for Holter testing and scanning, providing rhythm analyses and timely documentation in the EHR and billing system. You will interpret arrhythmias, communicate findings to nurses and physicians, and support QA activities while

Qualifications

• EKG/arrhythmia training or telemetry monitoring experience required; on-the-job training available.
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International CRAT exam within 18 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by orientation period.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license and ability to drive as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proficiency with monitor equipment and procedures.
• Screens patient records for diagnoses and educates patients for requested tests.
• Performs Holter Monitor testing and scanning with rhythm analysis.
• Interprets arrhythmias and informs nurse or physician.
• Documents symptoms, monitor strips, and reports in EHR and billing system promptly.
