MercyOne Medical Group in Mason City, IA is seeking a part-time Telemetry Technician. You will observe and interpret cardiac rhythms, record ECG strips, print rhythm strips, and notify RNs of rhythm changes.

You will maintain telemetry records and ensure the telemetry system functions properly, troubleshooting equipment as needed. Daily duties include updating the Communication Board and communicating with internal and external colleagues in a courteous, empathetic, and professional manner.

Formación

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience with patients preferred.
• Must be able to interpret cardiac rhythms.

Responsabilidades

• Observe and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Record ECG strips at designated intervals and as changes occur.
• Print cardiac rhythm strips as needed.
• Notify RN of all rhythm/heart rate changes.
• Maintain telemetry records.
• Ensure proper functioning of telemetry system; troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Update Communication Board.
• Communicate with patients, families, and colleagues in a courteous, professional manner.
