Job summary

ITW ShineMark, a division of Illinois Tool Works Inc., is seeking an operator to read production schedules and run embossing and film-slitting processes on 3rd shift. You will handle material feeds, setup, quality checks and equipment changes, while maintaining safety and efficiency on the production line.

The role requires basic computer skills, strong communication, and flexibility to work across departments. Health, vacation, and retirement benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Willingness to learn and flexibility to work in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Read schedule to determine timing for machine changeovers and runs.
• Ensure sufficient inventory for production.
• Start and stop machine using control panel.
• Align or fasten machine parts using hand tools.
• Thread or feed film through rollers and adjust temperature, speed and flow.
• Observe operation to detect defects and adjust accordingly.
• Record production run quantities and perform QA checks.
• Consult with Team Lead or technical staff on issues.
• Perform machine changeovers and load/unload materials.
• Monitor embossing processes and inspect for defects.
• Clean machines between runs.
• Operate forklift/fork truck.
