Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Exercise or Nutrition, Health Education or Promotion, or related field.
• Certification in personal training, nutrition, wellness, or related focus preferred.
• At least two years direct work with individuals with alcohol/substance use disorders or from disadvantaged populations.
• Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable automobile required.

Responsibilities

• Plans wellness activities across each of the agency’s programs.
• Regularly visits programs to assess progress and engages in activities with residents and staff.
• Develops evidence-based wellness curricula for group sessions and other activities.
• Facilitates Wellness groups and completes case notes in a timely manner.
• Collaborates with staff to create environments that promote wellness.
• Maintains wellness schedules, records, and reports.
