Job summary

GameStop Corp. in Goldsboro, NC seeks a Seasonal Sales Associate to support the store team during peak season, delivering outstanding guest service and assisting with sales, merchandising, and store maintenance.

You'll help shoppers with gaming needs, promote Circle of Life programs, keep shelves organized, and participate in inventory and loss-prevention efforts while meeting performance expectations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail sales or guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class customer service by greeting guests, assisting them with their video gaming needs, recommending additional items, applying selling behaviors, and thanking guests for choosing GameStop.
• Fully support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational aspects, and contribute to store sales initiatives during the holiday season.
• Collaborate with the store team to keep all areas clean, organized, and merchandised according to guidelines, including restrooms.
• Assist in stocking and restocking merchandise, transferring products from stock room to selling floor, and maintaining presentation and alphabetization.
• Assist the team in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrinkage reduction goals.
• Address guest questions and concerns promptly and courteously, escalating issues to a store keyholder as needed.
• Support inventory control and loss prevention practices, including awareness of scams and safety best practices.
• Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures regarding attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
