Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is seeking a part-time Holiday Events Assistant to welcome guests, assist with general admission, gift shop sales, memberships, and event registrations during the garden's holiday displays. You will work 15–25 hours weekly, including evenings, weekends, and special event nights, indoors and outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service required; event ops or food/beverage service a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication and pleasant demeanor; collaborative problem solving.
• Must have valid PA driver’s license; RAMP certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet guests and assist with questions, directions, and service during the light display.
• Process admissions, gift shop and merchandise sales, memberships, and event registrations.
• Maintain knowledge of holiday events, garden development, and promotions.
• Provide friendly customer service in garden venues and beverage stations.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages following safety standards and policies.
• Verify guest IDs and serve alcohol responsibly per PA liquor laws.
• Assist with event setup, direct vendors, and support garden operations.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with closing procedures and post-event cleanup.
